Blue Integrity Consulting, LLC. was founded on a simple yet powerful principle: that effective policing requires not only sound tactics but visionary leadership, ethical standards, and strong community engagement.
Brian A. Kyes, Esq., founder and principal of Blue Integrity Consulting, LLC. dedicated his career to those principles. Born and raised in Chelsea, Massachusetts, Brian launched his law enforcement journey in 1987 as a patrol officer in the Chelsea Police Department. Rising through the ranks to become Chief of Police in 2007, he led the department for 15 years, implementing progressive policing strategies that became models for other agencies statewide.
Under Brian’s leadership, the Chelsea Police Department achieved Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission (MPAC) accreditation multiple times, reflecting high standards of professionalism and accountability. He played an integral role in shaping police reform, developing statewide training curricula in crucial areas such as community engagement and active shooter response, and participating on numerous high-level committees that influenced law enforcement policy across the Commonwealth.
In 2022, Brian was nominated by President Joseph Biden and confirmed by the United States Senate to serve as the United States Marshal for the District of Massachusetts. Overseeing federal courthouse security, fugitive apprehension, and prisoner operations across the state, Brian continued to demonstrate exceptional leadership, integrity, and commitment to public service until his retirement from federal service in June 2025.
Beyond policing, Brian is a licensed attorney, holding a Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School. He has taught criminal justice and leadership courses at four Massachusetts colleges, mentored future police leaders, and delivered keynote presentations at numerous professional conferences.
